CATTLE AND SHEEP SPRING NEWSLETTER 2019

Due to the late rain in the Western Cape we would like to advise that cattle and sheep are vaccinated for the following diseases:

Cattle

Lumpyskin

Black Quarter

Rift Valley Fever

Botulism

Anthrax

Brucella

Please ensure that you have vaccinated your cattle for the above.

Sheep

Blue Tongue

Pulpy Kidney

Blue Udder

Please ensure that you have vaccinated your sheep for the above.

Please phone for information on vaccination programs.

Be aware also of the explosion of ticks and flies after the rain. Pour-on is the best way to treat for this.

Please note that we have a faecal egg count service available for owners to find out if their livestock requires deworming.

We also have a new incubator available in house for culturing of samples to ensure the correct treatment of infections through accurate diagnosis.

All vaccines and dips can be obtained at Tulbagh Vet.
